The Gardnerville Water Company has developed a Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) for water system improvements. This plan is updated each year by the GWC staff and is presented for approval to the GWC Board of Directors at the "Meeting of the Members" held on the second Tuesday of January each year.
The GWC reviews the 5 to 10 year CIP each year based on immediate and long range needs of the GWC water distribution system and also based on proposed street improvements for the Town of Gardnerville.
Each year the Town of Gardnerville street improvement CIP is reviewed by the GWC staff and adjustments are made to the GWC CIP to ensure that water distribution improvements are made out ahead of the Town of Gardnerville street paving projects. This insures that the streets will only be torn up one time.
