Annexation Time-frame
The GWC engineer and staff prepare an "Engineer's Report" once the annexation is approved by the GWC Board of Directors. Preparation of the Engineer's Report takes approximately two months to prepare (depending on the size of the development). The Engineer's Report is then submitted to the Public Utilities Commission (PUC) for review and consideration by PUC staff and commission to determine if the development can be added to the GWC service area boundary. The PUC review and approval usually takes approximately three months to complete.
